About the Film Makers
Polly Green
Polly has passion for traveling and working
around the world. She has been on the road for the past ten
years. She was a part of the film crew and team member on
a National Geographic 5 week sea kayaking expedition in Vietnam,
completed an all female first descent of rivers in Bhutan,
and has completed kayaking expeditions in Nepal, India, New
Zealand, Australia, Italy, France, Slovenia, Switzerland,
Austria, Vietnam, Chile, Norway, Germany, Ecuador, Guatemala,
Honduras, Canada, Uganda, and Zambia,
Her travels brought her to a small village in Uganda where
she wrote the script for the documentary Nomads. She funded
and produced Nomads herself on a tight budget. She shot
the majority of the footage herself, capturing audio and
preparing preliminary edits in a most difficult setting
She has also worked as a cameraman for Young Gun Productions
in Uganda and New Zealand.

Chris
Emerick
Has spent the last 10 years working around
the world on a variety of projects that include works that
aired on The National Geographic Channel, The Associated Press,
and The Discovery Channel. He has filmed, edited and authored
a total of 16 instructional DVD’s to date, several winning
awards. He specializes in filming and editing around the world
and has done the majority of his work throughout Africa, South
America, Mexico and New Zealand. He produced, filmed and edited
a documentary that circled the globe, following elite whitewater
kayakers as they paddled some of the world’s most impressive
rivers. He has produced several sales and promotional DVD’s
for companies in the paddle sports industry. Chris is also
an action and landscape photographer and has had photos published
in magazines in the United States and France. He works solely
in the digital medium so that he can deliver publishable photos
in a moments notice. |
